I am a Gnostic because of a profound spiritual experience that I had in 2003. During that experience, I felt a deep sense of connection to the divine that was unlike anything I had ever experienced before. It was as if a veil had been lifted, and I could see the world and myself in a completely different way. This experience led me to explore Gnosticism further and to adopt it as my spiritual path. Gnosticism is a way of thinking and living that is well-suited for the times we are living in. Our world is filled with archonic trials, and it can be challenging to navigate through it all. Gnosticism gives me the mental and spiritual tools I need to face these challenges and to find meaning and purpose in the midst of chaos. One of the core beliefs of Gnosticism is that all people hold a divine spark within them. This belief has deepened my sense of compassion for all humanity. It is easy to get caught up in the divisions and differences that separate us, but when we remember that we are all connected by this divine spark, it becomes easier to see the good in everyone.
Gnosticism has also helped me to deal with the religious trauma that I experienced in my youth. As a child, I was taught a version of Christianity that was punitive and judgmental. Gnosticism has allowed me to reframe Christianity in a more meaningful and personal context. I am able to see the teachings of Jesus in a new light and to find my own spiritual path within Christianity.
