Am I a Tarot Cliche?

I believe this tag began with the Astral Lady Tarot channel (do check it out, she has a lot of interesting content), then other people began adding their own categories as it grew. I thought it would be fun to see if I am a Tarot cliche.

Multiple copies of the same deck? Kind of, but this is the exception rather than the rule. I bought a second copy of the Star Tarot after I'd trimmed it because I didn't really like my trim-job (that sounded dirty), and I have both editions of the Mary-El tarot.

Back-up decks? No. I love well-worn decks. I buy decks to use them, not for show, so if they get a little grimy and worn, I'm okay with that.

Tarot tattoos? No. I have tattoos, and some of them are occult in nature, but I have no tarot tattoos.

Tea? I love tea but I'm not sure what this has to do with my tarot practice. No, I don't sit at a table, pouring tea from a dainty teapot and sipping as I read the cards. I'm more likely to have my big green water bottle full of iced tea or diet coke as I'm doing a reading.

Crystals? This is a tough one. I love crystals, gemstones, just plain rocks. I used to collect fossils and rocks with my father and this has continued on into my adult life. So I own a lot of rocks. Some of them I designate for certain spiritual uses, some adorn my altars, but I don't own a crystal grid (I'm not even sure what one is, nor do I know how to use one), and I'm not some new age crystal healer. I like rocks, is what it boils down to.

Tarot books? Yeah I think everyone who reads the tarot should do themselves a favor and, y'know, actually learn something about the cards. I don't think card-meanings are the be-all, end-all of any reading but at the same time, it's nice to have a foundation.

Tarot journals? Oh heck yeah.

Shuffling? You mean just sitting around absently shuffling a deck? Yes, I do that. Especially with new decks, I like to get a feel for them.

Fairy Lights? Nope

Candles? Not necessarily in conjunction with a reading, no. I do like candles, but I rarely light a candle to do a reading.

Tarot table or dedicated space? Nope, I read anywhere.

Card stock snob? I wouldn't call myself a snob, but I like a decent card stock. Thick or thin doesn't matter. I see a lot of people hate on a rose-petal finish but I like a rose-petal finish. I do get turned off by incredibly cheap card stock, and cards that are too large for me to handle. But aside from that I'm not terribly picky about card stock.

Tarot bags and cloths? Oh hell yeah. any deck that I read with on the regular, gets its own bag. I love tarot bags.

Tarot modification? Kind of? I've tried trimming in the past and I'm not great at it (see first entry). I have edged a few of my decks though, and I like the results.

Tarot decks around the house? All my decks are in one place. When I had a home, they were all on my shelves, but now that I'm staying with some friends, I keep the ones I use the most in the drawer of the bedside table, and the rest in a box in the closet. One day, I'll have a home again and will be able to have a shelf.
