A Request for Help

 

I am reaching out for help in a time of great need. I am disabled and have been struggling to survive since Hurricane Ida destroyed my home and belongings. I had to leave everything behind and flee with my cats, and we are now living in a hotel with no other options in sight.

Unfortunately, I can no longer afford another month's rent at the hotel and fear that my cats and I will become homeless if we don't get help soon. I am awaiting approval for SSDI and foodstamps, but the process has been slow, and I am running out of time.

To make matters worse, I also suffered abuse at the hands of someone I believed to be a friend. I am trying to heal from this trauma while also dealing with the daily struggles of survival.

I am asking for your help to keep a roof over my head and food in my cats' bowls. Any amount you can donate will make a difference in our lives. I want to keep my cats healthy and happy, as they are my family and only companions in this difficult time.

I know that times are tough for many people, and it's not easy to ask for help. But I am reaching out because I have no other options.
